Since 1978, the Texas Council on Family Violence has been a leader in the effort to end violence against women. TCFV is one of the largest domestic violence coalitions in the nation, with more than 100 staff and 469 members. Our mission is to end domestic violence through public education, partnerships, advocacy and direct services. Based in Austin, Texas, TCFV is a nonprofit organization whose membership is composed of domestic violence programs, supportive organizations and individuals. Funding for our efforts is provided by private sources, such as individual contributions, and public support, through grants and other related funding sources. TCFV works for women and their families to live violence-free.
